What kind of hamster would be good for my schedule?

Well I’m a pretty busy teen, looking into getting a hamster. I have enough time to play with it daily, but i need a breed that is the most low maintenance. Also, I need one friendly around kids cuz i have 4 and 7 year old brothers. And any tips for taking care of it?

Is it a good idea to socialize my hamster?

I have a few friends with hamsters and I was wondering if it would be good for them to just get together and meet eachother.

It would be under very careful circumstances, of course, and I’d be watching them both the whole time to make sure they get along.

My hamster’s just never been around any other hamsters since he was adopted.
