What does a hamster need to survive for a month?

I bought my daughter a hamster on black friday (they were discounted) and I need to know how to wrap it up so she can open it up under the christmas tree. It would be disappointing for her to open it dead, so what does a hamster need to survive for a month. I have to wrap it up now, because I can’t risk her finding it. If it does die, how would I know it was dead in the package before she opens it up?

find a willing friend to keep it at their house or a relative. maybe in your attic or basement?

Surely you’re smart enough to know you can’t wrap something like an animal up for a month.

put it in a plastc baggie with some food and water to make sure it doen’t run around. It shouldn’t need holes since it has plenty of water.
Shake it hard every once in a while to see if it’s still moving.

Are you serious? You ought to be ashamed of yourself for even thinking about it. Think about the poor animal who has no choice in the matter.
    A very annoyed Masha.

your not suppose to wrap it up and maybe pay a responsible close friend to take care of it and give them the needed materials and on christmas stick a bow on it and the problem is solved
