   If you’re parents are anything like mine, they will say no…at first. When talking to them about it, say what you’re going to say in a nice and mature way. Don’t start screaming and all if they do say no. If they do say no however, just calmly go up to you’re room and scream into a pillow. Get all your anger out, then ask them again…it may take several “repeats” of this before they might actually say yes.
   I will tell you this that if you are not responsible, don’t do what you’re told the minute you are, they will bring that up when you ask and they also will say no. Taking care of a hamster can be hard work;That is, if you know what you’re doing. You also might want to consider how often you need to change the cage, and also be able to develop a relationship with it. I might also want to recommend that if you do end up getting one, not to be loud around it, and be committed to taking care of it.
   Now, to REALLY answer your question, if your birds are as healthy as can be and you have owned them for about 7 months, then that should be a real plus to getting closer to a yes when asking your parents.
   I truly and honestly wish you the best of luck if you get your hamster and if you do, go to the ASPCA website and look up a hamster guide. Trust me, it will help you a lot when owning a hamster!

   I just want to say make sure and let your hamster run in there ball every night. They are nocturnal so they have alot of energy. Good luck and try the puppy dog face, that should do the trick
